I just always feel, at the Bass, that I'm there with a bunch of people who really love the music, who "get" it, rather than people going for the sake of going. Do you have a journal? Please leave a link; I'd love to read what you write, and thanks for dropping by mine, and for the kind remarks.

JudiemmapeelDallashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05045502725282481075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19031373.post-2502582255902367052008-10-05T05:17:00.000-05:002008-10-05T05:17:00.000-05:00I LOVE the encore thing. It's almost as if an "encore" would be too gauche. Or maybe they're not good enough to be called for one. I woudn't be able to judge...I've only seen two orghestras in my life--the Oregon Symphony and the Eugene Symphony. Since Eugene is the principal college town in Oregon, their symphony is every bit as good, probably better, actually, than the Oregon Symphony. Marin Alsop conducted the Eugene Symphony for a short time in the nineties...

These are both good, but small, orchestras. I would love to attend a performance of a major orchestra in a bigger city someday. Lisa :-]Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
