Katrina

I watch the news and find it horrifying. I saw a man pulled from his attic last night, clearly in deep shock, and every interview is heartbreaking. I wish I had something eloquent to say about all this, but I don't. I've made a donation to the Red Cross and I'd encourage everyone to do that if you possibly can. I can't abide anyone saying "Why didn't they evacuate?" or "This happened for a reason", and to those who would make such remarks, I can only say, where is your heart?

Yes, I am so tired of hearing people say, why did they stay? Some couldn't leave that's why! I am also tired of hearing people complain about the rising gas prices. Yes, it hurts but here in North Carolina, we are safe! There is more important things going on besides gas prices. Thousands upon thousands have no job, no home and God only knows how many dead. I am going to donate. Thank you for caring.

The interviews are indeed heartbreaking. I can't imagine any resonse other than "How can I help?"

I am heartbroken... This is truly a tragedy of epic proportions. Don't EVEN get me started on the idiotic statement, "This happened for a reason."
