Saturday afternoon project...

It's good to have a son who's 6'5" who weighs 145 pounds, and here's why:

Of course, it's also good to have a daughter who's a regular reader of Craigslist
...

My old clothes dryer has been slowly dying. It still worked, but only on the timed cycle, and anyway, it was almond colored, and didn't match my washing machine, which is graphite...I know in the big scheme of things, such things don't matter, but call me shallow,I happen to care about such things...so Kath went online, to Craigslist Dallas, and found a dryer that matches my washing machine for just $80...and she drove and picked it up, and Christo installed it for me, even hooking up the gas connection...VOILA!

To celebrate (I'll celebrate anything) everyone's coming over to my house tomorrow night for dinner. I'm making corned beef with carrots and potatoes, beer bread, and an apple souffle pancake for dessert.

Weekends are good.

Six foot five and 145 pounds? Does that child ever eat????

Too funny. Love your "new" dryer.

Oh, to have his metabolism, which is apparently akin to that of a hummingbird. I have to admit, until I was 51 I had that same metabolism...he eats so much, that on a week-long whitewater rafting trip that we took together, the guides called him "Tape", because they said he must have a tapeworm, to be able to eat so much and stay so slim...

Wow...what a great set now! I absolutely understand the concept of matchy-matchy..it's in my blood as well!
Six foot five and 145 lbs seems mightly slim to me and I thought my hubby was skinny at six foot three and 168 lbs...I guess I won't bug him anymore about his weight!

Congrats on your new purchase! It sounds like you have some really great kids. And I'm sure they love it when you cook for them! :-)

Can I borrow him? I dropped my keys down the storm drain. Don't worry, I'll hold his feet.
