Pastels Day Photo Challenge

To celebrate the arrival of February, Digital Art Photography for Dummies author Matthew Bamberg is hosting a photo challenge, Pastels Day, on his blog, Digital Traveler. The contest is open to anyone, click here for details. The event will be judged by Suzanne Gonzalez.

These are my entries for the Pastels Day contest. I shot all of these on my Canon Power Shot A95 last October at
The Azure Gate, a beautiful bed and breakfast that I stayed at in Tucson. For more about shooting for color and combining colors in your art photos, check out Digital Art Photography for Dummies.

Don'tcha just fall into those colors!! I used to live in New Mexico and I miss the clay colors and potterys. I have the same European skull hanging in our den but I would love it to been surrounded with the washed pink! Hubby would die of course...his den.I will check out your links..cool bed and breakfast.

I love that blue door, but I'm thinking Dave won't be painting mine blue anytime soon.lol

Good Luck!

I agree, there's something about the punchy blue against the pinks of the adobe - it's beautiful, but it needs that combination to be so good. I love the desert.

I love this so much I keep coming back to it. I think I will try to duplicate it in some way in my new room...back taking another peak at it. LOL
