bathroom redux...

Here's what it looked like after I stripped the wallpaper but before I did anything else, in the master bathroom of my house...pretty grim.

Please note the hideous yellow faux marble, in the tub and tub surround. I'm not about to change it, because at some point soon I'm going to sell this house, but that said, I've had to work with/around that color/material. Well, I always enjoy a challenge...

Details, details...I love these bud vases that Pottery Barn was dumping, and I couldn't resist putting one on each side of the big window...

That's it for now. Not bad, for having done all this in one day, and on New Year's Day at that. What an exciting life I lead, eh? For what it's worth, I had to paint a lot of it with my left hand, but Lily, note, no purple anywhere! The sad thing is, this is only
part of the master bath...so part remains to be completed...and that part is bigger...

to be continued...(eventually)

Left handed goddess ;) What do they call that color it's very warm? How's life other than the hand and job? I've got to give you a call soon :)

Thanks, Chris! Hey, Alexis can get some guys to do the painting at your place. ;p

Tammy, that's a Ralph Lauren paint, I don't remember the name of the color, because it's been discontinued, but I have the formula (here's how pathetic I am: I Xerox the top of the paint can so I can just show that to the guy at Home Depot)...anyway, it's a rich caramel color, and it works well with that ugly yellow faux marble...

lol YAY! No purple! lol Although purple and gold... hmm... I'm kidding, I swear lol

It looks really good Judi, even with the faux marble. It's warm and cozy. I should ask you for decorating tips lol

It looks like you're on your way to crossing items off your 2007 list. Nice job on the bathroom! :-)

Nice job ! I think you did exactly what you set out to do, and it looks great. By the way, love all your candles in the preceeding entries. There's something about candlelight at Christmas that makes it feel so magical. Glad you had a good one. Happy 2007 !
