Pool Deconstruction, Day 1

So this is the machine that is here today, taking out my pool. I love the head. Doesn't it look like a dinosaur? They need me to paint the eyeball green...

There's a wrecking ball attached to this, and they swing it around, breaking up the concrete. The sound is deafening, plus the earth literally shakes...several neighbors have dropped by to check it out, but...fearless Mia (see pic below) went right out there to check it out for herself.

That cat is afraid of NOTHING....

Check out how one side of the caterpillar hangs out over the edge of the pool...I was worried it would go right on in, however, I seem to be the only person who was worried about that...

This makes me just a bit sad...because I remember how we plotted to recoup a little revenge on a fellow student who was a user/cheater...using your pool as part of the plan. ;-)

I was sad at first...but now I'm just excited. Besides, I'm eventually planning on having a firepit back there...and that could DEFINITELY work to recoup a little revenge...

BWWWWAAAAHHHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The pictures are horrifying. But I'm trying to get excited about the idea of a fire pit, and maybe a hot tub? Hint, hint.

Ah, a hot tub is EXACTLY what I'm thinking. They have them now that don't have to be plumbed in, just fill and heat and voila...a glass of wine, a crisp Texas night with a zillion stars overhead...my kind of evening...
