So we went to the airport and had a great visit with Mike, on his way back to Tucson after a month spent traveling in Europe. It is one of life's great pleasures (and one not afforded to everyone) to see your children grow into bright, interesting, funny, sophisticated young adults. I was delighted to hear that among their many adventures, they'd spontaneously attended the opera, where they heard Carmen...I'm always happy to learn (and I have with each of my 4) that exposing them to operas and symphonies and museums when they were younger "took"...
And here's a pic, courtesy of Mike's friend, Brooke, of a wine tasting Mike, Brooke and friends attended at a cellar in Villany, Hungary. Mike is barely visible, way in the back, on the right...oh, to be 22 and traveling the world, making new friends, with everything still before you...
Welcome back, Mike!

How lucky for Mike that he was able to expand his horizons. Good job mom!
I never traveled the world at 22 (or any other age, for that matter); and now I wonder if it's too late. What a shame that would be!
OK........I cannot breathe now!
:)
Nothing quite like Europe when you are young. Love the pic.
