Pink Glove Dance

This is a wonderful video. Medline Industries, Inc., began manufacturing pink gloves as a way to promote breast cancer awareness, and they agreed to donate some of the profits from the sale of the pink gloves to fund mammograms for women who can’t afford them. To promote the gloves and breast cancer awareness, more than 200 staff members of Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, made this video wearing the pink gloves and dancing to Jay Sean’s song “Down”. Enjoy (and get a mammogram!).

I loved that! For some reason, it made me tear up!

Me too! I think it might be because there's something great about seeing people do something they love that also happens to be meaningful...and if we'd gone a different route for grad school, whether law or social work, in a way, that might have been us...not that I'm bitter or anything...

Isn't that incredible! I love it! I'd love to see that performed at my hospital!!

Speaking of hospitals....I went to a psychic/holistic healing fair two weeks ago with some nurse friends and Sarah Kate...I won a "reading" as a door prize. I didn't know the woman was a medium..anyway...she starts to tell me my future and she said she first had to deal with the woman who was demanding to be noticed. She described her to me and told me it wasn't a family member...said some things that made me able to idintify her. Sarah was sitting right there beside me and we looked at each other at the same time and said, REBA!!!!! Yep, Reba came through to tell me that she loved me, to thank me for being like a daughter to her. She said that she comes around me (I feel her often, especially at work) and after my psychic reading she added at the end: Did you have a little dog that has passed? I said I did, she then went on to describe him to me. When I said that, yes, that was him she told me that Quincy was with Reba!!! Funny thing is that they had very similar personalities! I knew you'd get a kick out of this.

Miss ya!
