1 minute writer - THIEF

Today's Writing Prompt: Thief

Write about something you stole (literal or figurative.)

When I was eight I stole some change…twelve cents, to be exact…from a jewelry counter in a Woolworth’s store. I don’t know why I did it, I mean twelve cents! But overall it was probably a good thing. The guilt that I felt practically ate me up. The next day I went back to the store and dropped the twelve cents back where I’d found it. That ended my life as a thief.

WE ARE TWINS! My big crime was stealing a dog whistle from the local IGA store. I don't know why I felt the need for a dog whisle so bad, but apparently I did! I was one miserable person the entire time I had that blasted whistle in my possession which I think was about three days. I took it back and put it back on the hook I found it on. I instantly felt better and that ended my life of crime also.
